Department of Philosophy

Introduction

The Department of Philosophy is an integral part of Subhas Chandra Bose Centenary College. The year 2002 saw the genesis of the Department, which initially used to offer only general course, In the year 2008 the Honours course in Philosophy was introduced and the Department started functioning in a full-fledged manner.

Apart from the lecture method, the Department employs various other interactive methods – like group discussions, presentations, organizing student seminars frequently – to enhance a holistic and student-friendly learning process. Students are encouraged to indulge in interactive sessions with students and informal teaching is done in small groups even beyond scheduled contact hours. □  To start psychological counselling session for the students.
