About the Department

Politics or Political Science is a part of our everyday life and part of every state of the world. Aristotle said that “Man is a Political animal, destined by nature for state life.

The department of Political Science is an integral part of the college from the very beginning. In 2008 study of Honours course began with a limited number of seat of 30 students. Now B.A 1st year B.A Honours has 65 seats. Currently we are a dedicated and energetic group of three faculty member with varied academic interests and contributions. Student-teacher relationship is very good in our department. We complete the syllabus in time every year.

Future plan:

□  To organize a national seminar on a relevant topic.
□  Value added course on YPC.
□  Publication of department Magazine.
□  Extension of departmental library to a full-fledged resources centre.
□  Plan to introduce workshops on local politics.
